The Borneo Emergency EMTS Solidarity Triumphant (BESTCON 2025) brings together Sabah’s emergency medicine community and national collaborators for two days of knowledge exchange, skills enhancement, and professional solidarity. This year’s theme reflects our collective commitment to rise above adversity and respond to crises with empathy and excellence.

With an engaging lineup of keynote talks, expert panels, case-based sharing, and interactive debates, BESTCON 2025 also features a series of highly practical Preconference Workshops aimed at empowering frontline professionals with real-world emergency care skills.

lANE 1: ECG Workshop – “Mastering the Beats”

Decode the rhythm of life in this dynamic workshop. Learn to identify deadly ECG patterns, manage electrical therapies, and sharpen your cardiology reflexes for acute care settings.

LANE 2 : Ultrasound Workshop – “Seeing is Believing”

From crashing patients to chest trauma, POCUS has revolutionized emergency care. This hands-on workshop offers a comprehensive skillset in diagnostic and procedural ultrasonography.

LANE 3: Transfer of the Critically Ill – “Moving Lives Safely”

Transferring unstable patients is high-stakes work. Learn key principles, ethical considerations, and equipment handling to ensure safe interfacility transfers in all conditions. Includes:

Wilderness Medicine – “Fangs and Frontiers”

Experience the untamed wild of Borneo in this immersive session. Gain confidence in identifying venomous species, managing envenomation, and responding to emergencies in austere environments.

Ventilator Workshop – “Taming the Machine”

Break down the fear of the ventilator. This workshop covers core principles, real-time troubleshooting, and strategic settings to optimize respiratory support in emergencies.

CBRNE Workshop – “Prepare for the Unthinkable”

In the face of hazardous exposures and mass casualties, readiness is everything. This workshop teaches frontline personnel how to recognize, respond, and decontaminate safely during CBRNE incidents.
